We wanted to book two back to back cruises starting in Vancouver to Seward and Seward to Vancouver. Should we book our cabin on opposite sides of the ship?

I went on that exact cruise two summers ago and there is land on both sides during some parts. at other parts you can see no land. at one point our captain did a 360 degree turn so both sides of the ship could see everything. it doesn't really matter what side of the ship you go on.

There is land on both sides on the inside package. Some will cruise up and on the return take the outside passages where you see nothing but, water. If you mean a balcony I would suggest no. Get an inside cabin as the sights & wildlife are on both sides & may not be there waiting for you to return. Views better from on deck. Taken this cruise over 20 times.
