Legal question about bad landlords in state of alaska/going to small claims court?
I moved into this apt 10 06,I pay my own utilties, after awhile the previous mgr informed me of how the bottom 12 floor apts are wired, their breaker boxs are in the laundry room, the washer, dryer, boiler, heater, hallway, outside lights are wired thru the breaker boxs, come to find out I am paying for the owners washer, outside, and hallway lights,I brought this to his attention and he gives me a run around and offers to credit me10 to 15 dollars per month and add it to my move out,the owner pays some of the other tentant apt's utilties and not other tenants???other tenants don't know that they are paying part of the owners utilties, I figure he owes me about $500 dollars,do I have a good case in small claims agaisnt the owner or would I be wasteing my timeI gave my 30 day notice as required by the lease I told the owner that I would like this matter taken care before my move out,for paying his utilties since this is a seperate matter from the move out. After confronting the owner about this he threated us with a 30 day notice to vacate and said that I was threating him because I threated him with legal action,I allready have a new place but want to get my $$,that I paided for his utilties back, just a fair, honest amount.Have a feeling that he will try to hold up my Security deposit now,I don't want to waste $small claims action if I don't have a good case??

DIVORCE State of Alaska, how long do I have to wait for?
my divorce to be finalized?Married 20 years, we have no children, just been fighting over financial issues & debts & assets. I filed July 2009, We've had several hearings & motions oppositions passed back & forth since. Our actual divorce trial is April 6. Since we've been in the process for 8 months, will be 9 months by the trial date, will there be any waiting period before the final decree of Divorce can be given? Like is there a " change of heart" law in Alaska like there is in other states? Will they make me wait another 30, 60, 90 days before I can actually BE divorced from the jerk? Please answer if you know. & can give me a quote or website to verify. PLEASE I do not have a lawyer, so I can't ask them. Thank you
Why does the state of Alaska hold child support payments payed Federal government for 6 months before paying?
Past due child support was collected from my child's biological father when he was doing his taxes and this money was payed to the State of Alaska on my behalf, but while this money shows up as payed on my online case page, it is not being direct deposited into my personal bank account because according to the CSED case worker I spoke with, it has to be held for six months when it has been payed by the Federal Government...no other explanation at all. I don't understand this. It makes no sense to me..They can't be worried that the U.S. Government is insolvent and unable to pay the bill..so why do they have to hold the money for six months?? Very frustrated at this point.
What are some ABC's about the state of Alaska?
I would really appreciate it if you could name every letter in the alphabet and say something about Alaska that starts with that letter. If you can think of all the letters, some are just fine Thanks so much
Should the State of Alaska sue the bringers of frivolous ethics complaints against Palin for their costs?
Every time they brought a frivolous complaint, the freedom of information would require the state to copy and send all documents requested, which they did, as well as Palin and her staff using up time to prepare defenses to the ridiculous allegations 18 and more on the way, ALL which were dismissed .It costed the complainants nothing, they were throwing everything and hoping something would stick, and they were going to tear down Palin however they could, costing Alaskan taxpayers MILLIONS for no reason other than a win at all cost terrorism by Democrats. Shouldn't those taxpayers get to countersue democrats who abused the system?
